Student Anthropology Club
The Anthropology Club, organized by the undergraduate majors, offers additional opportunities for students to not only socialize with majors and non-majors with similar interests but also take advantage of off-campus experiences. They typically meet once a week, plan trips, work on displays or discuss the latest in anthropological discoveries. In recent years the Anthropology Club has traveled to Jamestown, Va., to participate in the excavations, participated in the Society for Historic Archaeology’s annual conference and toured cultural and archaeological sites within the region. The club also has a rotating display case in Gillmor Science Hall, giving them experience preparing and sharing their interests with the campus community.
