Economics Minor at Heidelberg
The Economics minor offers students a foundation in the field and complements a number of other majors, including Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Political Science and History.
Departmental Courses
Economics minors must take these courses in the Business Administration, Accounting and Economics Department:
ECO 251 – Principles of Microeconomics
ECO 252 – Principles of Macroeconomics
ECO 361 – Intermediate Microeconomic Theory or ECO 362 - Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory
Minors also must select three courses from:
ECO 330 – Public Finance
ECO 342 – Urban and Regional Economics
ECO 344 – Environmental and Natural Resource Economics
ECO 346 – Law and Economics
ECO 352 – International Economics
ECO 358 – Labor Economics
ECO 361 – Intermediate Microeconomic Theory
ECO 362 – Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory

In addition, Economics minors must take one course in another department:
One MTH course at the 200 level or above
Special Notes:
- All students must complete the requirements outlined for their major(s) and/or minor(s) in the undergraduate Heidelberg Catalog. In addition, they must complete the General Education requirements for their selected degree (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science) as described in the catalog. Each degree requires students to take courses in the arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, cultures and mathematics. These courses are designed to provide a broad liberal arts background and skills specific to the particular degree program.
- The Economics minor is not available to Economics majors.
- No grade of “D” will be waived in 100 or 200 level ACC, BAE or ECO courses being applied to any major or minor in the Business Administration, Accounting and Economics Department.
