American Chemical Society Student Affiliate
Heidelberg’s American Chemical Society Student Affiliate chartered in 1949, is also known as The Chemistry Club. This Club is made up of a small group of students interested in chemistry and is advised by Dr. Dan Esterline. In recent years, the Chemistry Club has organized student trips to Ohio chemistry graduate schools, science museums, chemical companies where alumni work and a nuclear power plant. The Club has also invited professionals in various fields of chemistry, including forensic science, to give presentations. This group also plans fun laboratory experiments and has been involved in designing bulletin boards and displays.
