Chamber Singers

The Chamber Singers are selected from the membership of the Concert Choir and specialize in both early and contemporary repertoire.  As guest performers at Heidelberg's New Music Festival, the Chamber Singers have been privileged to work with such renowned composers as James Mobberley, Leslie Bassett and Chen Yi.  Most recently, the Chamber Singers performed Johannes Brahms’s Neue Liebeslieder Walzer, op. 65, with Heidelberg piano faculty members Dr. Pierre van der Westhuizen and Dr. Sophié Grobler, who together comprise the critically acclaimed Westhuizen Duo.  In addition, the Chamber Singers hold the distinction for having given the Ohio premiere (and only the second United States performance) of Marianna Martines’ Dixit Dominus (1774) for SATB choir and chamber orchestra.
