Heidelberg's School of Business offers Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees with majors in Business Administration, Economics and Accounting and a minor in Economics.
Students are encouraged to develop a second major or minor. A student may combine a wide variety of majors or minors to graduate with a dual major or minor in accordance with his or her specific abilities and interests.
The School of Business collaborates with other departments to combine business with other fields of study such as:
- Music Industry (Bachelor of Music) major with the School of Music
- Sports Management - Business Concentration with the Health and Physical Education Dept.
- Computer Information Systems major with the Computer Science Dept.
- Media Management major with the Communication Arts & Theatre Dept.
- Public Relations major with the Communication Arts & Theatre Dept.
- International Relations concentration with the International Studies Program
The Heidelberg School of Business is located in the new John Q. Adams Hall. Formerly Laird Hall, Adams Hall represents a more than $4 million renovation and transformed one of Heidelberg’s most distinguished buildings into a state-of the art business education facility. Adams Hall features a video conferencing center, six multi-media classrooms and an executive suite. This facility provides students with professional learning and laboratory spaces, preparing them to enter a demanding job market armed with the skills and experience they need to be successful.
The building was dedicated in September 2010, as part of a weekend long celebration of Academic Excellence in Business. The weekend also featured the inaugural lecture in The Patricia Adams Lecture Series.
