George Wood

Keynote speaker Dr. George Wood is a former Ohio University education professor and present superintendent of Federal Hocking Schools in Stewart, Ohio. He is the Director of the Forum for Education and Democracy, author and advocate for democracy in education and empowerment of teachers and children. He co-authored, with Deborah Meier, Many Children Left Behind (2004), A Time to Learn (1998), and Schools the Work (1994).
