Courses and Opportunities
Heidelberg offers a wide selection of courses from ancient, medieval and modern history and from the history of the United States, China, Japan, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. The experiences offered include internships, independent studies and participation in the Model Arab League.
History classes are small. Classes for majors normally contain about 15 students. Personal attention and interaction with professors is a daily occurrence. Heidelberg is a member of the international history honorary, Phi Alpha Theta, which provides extracurricular opportunities for fellowship and scholarship.
Graduate programs in history, museum studies, library science and the law are plentiful for history majors. Heidelberg graduates are very successful in graduate school and law school.
