Since leaving the ‘Berg, Chelsea has earned her M.A. in International Studies at the University of Denver and is now in her second year of law school in Washington, D.C. at American University, Washington College of Law. After spending the summer working at a law firm in Istanbul, Turkey, she is currently writing a comment for the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law, preparing for the ABA Appellate Advocacy competition in the spring, and editing blogs for the Intellectual Property Brief. Heidelberg was her springboard into a career.
"Heidelberg offered exactly what I needed—small classes, lots of face time with professors, leadership opportunities, and a close-knit body of students including those that have studied and lived abroad. The curriculum allowed me to tailor my studies to my interests and the study abroad requirement gave me the push I needed to leave my comfort zone—educationally, socially, and geographically. The faculty members are accessible, involved, and interested. It was great knowing that whether I needed assistance finalizing a research topic or a sounding board for my new life-plan (which changed every week), Dr. Marc O’Reilly’s door was open."
