MME Curriculum

All students seeking the Master of Music Education (MME) degree must complete the following courses, a three summer degree plan. A minimum of 30 semester hours is required for the MME degree. * Students who do not achieve a qualifying score on the diagnostic entrance exams in music history and music theory must first register for MUS 521 Graduate Theory Review and/or MUS 547 Graduate Music History Review. MUS 521 and MUS 547 do not count toward the 30 hours required for the degree.

** MUS 599 repeatable to a maximum of 4 hours.

*** A maximum of 6 semester hours of applied instruction or independent study may be counted toward the MME degree. There is an additional fee for applied instruction.
