What
The Heidelberg Film Festival is an opportunity for all Heidelberg Students to document their positive first-year college experience. The theme for all submissions is "Why Heidelberg?" All films must be related in some way to the first/freshman year at Heidelberg. Use your imagination to develop this theme.
Students can team up and create a 2-4 minute video creatively displaying their first year experience. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. Teams must consists of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 current Heidelberg students.
The winning team members will each receive an iPod Touch. Prizes will also be awarded to second and third place team members.
Event
All eligible films will be viewed at the Get Reel Film Festival Premier on Saturday, April 21, 2012 in the University Commons. This event is free and open to the public. Films will be viewed by a panel of judges.
Timeframe
- Final Films due (on flashdrive and DVD) with application: Wednesday, April 11, 2012
- Films Premier: Saturday, April 21, 2012
Materials
- Print the Team Application and bring to University Hall 118
- Print and review the Festival Rules and Judging Criteria
Films that do not relate to the Festival theme or do not follow the Festival rules will be disqualified.
