Note that course offerings fluctuate and there is no guarantee that a particular course will be offered in any given semester. You should therefore plan to take as many required courses as possible on your home campus before and after your stay at the University of Heidelberg.
You have access to a large variety of courses at the University of Heidelberg and at the AJY Study Center. Courses are selected in consultation with the Resident Director once you are already in Heidelberg. Those students whose command of German is stronger (as determined in the Preliminary Course and in the German Proficiency Exam of the University) will be able to choose among an even wider selection of courses.
Prior to the start of the University semester, you will meet with the AJY Resident Director to draft a preliminary course list. During the first two weeks of the University semester, you will visit many courses and then narrow your list down to your final course selection. The Resident Director will then notify your home campus of this final selection.
