Stephanie Burns is doctoral candidate at Kent State University in the Counseling and Human Development Services Program. Her dissertation research (focusing on revising the scoring practices of a vocational interest assessment to improve predictive hit rates) is chaired by Dr. Mark Savickas and Dr. Jason McGlothlin. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She became an Adjunct Professor of Counseling at Heidelberg University in the Spring of 2010 and has taught Career Planning and Vocational Guidance, Techniques of Counseling, and Training in Consultation for Counselors. She is a member in good standing of ACA, OCA, NWOCA, CSI, NCDA, OCDA, ACES, and OACES and has presented on the national, regional, state, and local levels. Currently, she is the webmaster and listserv manager for the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) and co-chair of the Advocacy Committee for Chi Sigma Iota International (CSI).
