Many current students told us that they knew Heidelberg was the right college for their future after visiting campus. After touring our facilities and meeting the people that make up the Berg community, they say they felt at home and knew that Heidelberg would provide them with opportunities to succeed. Read on to learn more about why our students say making a campus visit was key to helping them choose a college.

Aaron Weaver, Class of 2008, AYA Education – Integrated Social Studies, Baltimore, OH

My Heidelberg campus visit was important because it gave me the opportunity to talk with current students as well as faculty. I am still friends with people I met during my visit. In the end, it gave me a sense of what the ’Berg was really like, beyond the brochures.

Lori Webb, Class of 2008, Early Childhood Education, Jenera, OH

During my visit to Heidelberg, not only did I see the campus, I also saw how much my tour guide and admission counselor cared about my family and me. Even though it was a rainy day, I still left campus with a great impression of Heidelberg.

Katie Ruffing, Class of 2009, Early Childhood Ed./Intervention Specialist, Bellevue, OH

When choosing a college, I was looking for a small campus with small class sizes. The Admission and Financial Aid Offices were very welcoming and answered all of my questions. The campus tour allowed me to see the Education Department and ask questions to a current student. After my visit, I knew Heidelberg was the college for me.

Ben Schwarz, Class of 2009, Psychology, Urbana, OH

Even though I came on a cold, rainy day, all the people I met were upbeat and genuinely excited to meet me and show me around the campus. I felt like I was a part of the college before I was truly even a student!

Kim Kubly, Class of 2009, Spanish and Education, Findlay, OH

As a senior in high school, I was struggling with the decision of selecting a college. All of my stresses were relieved, however, once I visited Heidelberg for the first time. On my campus tour, the student tour guide was unbelievably helpful and influential. She answered every question my mother and I had, and she gave me insight as to how college life really is. She made me feel very welcomed on campus and she seemed genuinely excited about me going to Heidelberg. I believe that without my campus tour, I would not be at Heidelberg today and would not be nearly as happy!
