Financial Aid for AJY

Heidelberg College offers financial aid to Heidelberg College undergraduates. Students from other colleges and universities should contact the financial aid office and the study abroad office at their home institution.

If you receive need-based aid such as Pell Grants, Guaranteed Student Loans, Stafford Loans and Ohio Instructional Grants, Heidelberg College will provide assistance. Please contact the Tiffin, Ohio, office. Students who wish such assistance must complete the application procedure for the program and for aid no later than April 15 prior to the academic year in which they intend to study in Germany.

There are many other sources of financial aid for study abroad. Of particular interest are:

  • the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD): www.daad.org for full-time undergraduate students at U.S. colleges or universities.
  • Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, administered by the Institute of International Education: www.iie.org/gilman. Applicants must be recipients of a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application.
  • Note that these and other scholarships have early application deadlines!
