San Fransisco Gathering Fall '09
The next AJY alumni gathering will be held in conjunction with the 2nd annual meeting of HAUS (Heidelberg Alumni U.S.) from September 25 to 27, 2009 in San Francisco. The weekend will commence with a casual dinner on Friday evening. Following a morning meeting and a sailing excursion on San Francisco Bay on Saturday afternoon, the American Junior Year Program will be hosting a reception for all guests. The main event of the weekend will be the dinner on Saturday evening, providing alumni and friends ample opportunity for networking and sharing memories. The keynote speaker will be a noted scientist from Heidelberg University (Germany), who will elucidate recent research developments at the University. A concluding highlight will be a post-election party at the Goethe Institute on Sunday morning at breakfast time in San Francisco--following the close of the polls at 6:00 p.m. that same day in Germany. Associate Director Hanne Heckmann, Ph.D., will be representing the AJY Program at this event. We hope that many former Junior Year students will find their way to sunny California for the festivities.

The weekend program and registration details, when available, will be published on this web page.
