Holiday Homestays

Students are encouraged to spend 2-3 weeks with a German family during one of the semester breaks. Most of these families are in northern or eastern Germany, providing a cultural contrast to student life in Heidelberg.

Speaking German from morning until evening quickly builds language fluency. There is no charge for this homestay experience, which is organized via Experiment e.V with the financial support of the Foreign Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany.
