Other Departments of the University
Courses in other departments of the University are primarily of interest to students who pass the University's German Language Proficiency Exam. Most disciplines offer a series of introductory courses that recur each semester. Since attendance for the entire semester is often required to earn credit, students who are only in Heidelberg for the fall term may not be able to enroll in some of these classes.
Please note: Most disciplines offer a series of introductory courses that recur each semester. Yet all other courses vary from semester to semester. There is thus no way of predicting which courses will be offered during the semester you are in Heidelberg. The University catalog listing course titles for a semester is nearly 300 pages long. It will not be published until about 4 weeks after you have arrived in Heidelberg. The following list of courses is offered for those students wishing to draw up a draft course list with their study abroad advisor prior to their departure from the U.S.
