Emilie (Wells) Brown is a retired elementary school teacher living in North Fairfield, Ohio. John, her husband of 65 years, passed away in 2005.
1946
Helen (Southard) Hennesey, West Palm Beach, Fla., is a retired docent at the South Florida Science Museum.
1948
Don Streibig, Columbus, recently directed the one-act opera, Amahl, at the First Congregational Church in Columbus.
1950
Richard Whitaker, St. Petersburg, Fla., is self employed in computer services.
1951
Mary (Woodworth) Yarnell, is a retired teacher/realtor in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
1955
George Erickson, Foxfire Village, N.C., was recently re-elected to the Foxfire Village Council for a second term. He has been serving as mayor of the community since 2005.
Lucy (Boyadjian) Janjigian, Franklin Lakes, N.J., recently was honored by the American Missionary Association of America for spearheading fund-raising efforts to support the summer camps and Christmas Joy Packages program. She also spent four summers as a short-term missionary in America and Khazababh.
1956
In October, Janet (Kocher) Dell Freeman, Tiffin, met Pope Benedict XVI in St. Peter’s Square. She spoke to him as a representative of Serra International Foundation, which the Vatican recognizes as the global lay apostolate for vocations in the Catholic Church.
1963
Carlton Woods, Westlake, Ohio, recently retired from his positions as director of orchestral studies at Central Michigan University and artistic director/conductor of the Midland, Mich., Symphony Orchestra. On his departure from Midland, he was named its first conductor emeritus. During his career, Carlton worked with numerous artists including Itzhak Perlman, Dave Brubeck, Sarah Chang, John O’Conor, James McCracken and Edgar Meyer. He plans to continue to be a guest conductor.
1964
George Danchisen, Marblehead, Ohio, has been elected to a third term to the Marblehead Board of Public Affairs.
1967
Jim Postance, Meadowlands, Minn., was a recent guest lecturer in the ecopsychology class at the University of Wisconsin – Superior. His topic: The Slow Food Movement, Seed Savers Exchange and the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy; Presenting a Traditional, Ethical and Ecological Alternative to Conventional Agribusines.

Dave Harsh, Pleasant Hill, Tenn., recently joined the staff of Uplands Retirement Village as the director of development and marketing.
1972
Beverly (Laughlin) Burke, Summerfield, N.C., is a choral instructor at Rockingham County High School. She recently was recognized as the district’s Teacher of the Year.
1973
Peter Balcom, Rochester, N.Y., has been hired by L3 Communications Corp. L3 is a major merchant supplier of communication equipment to prime contractors and the Department of Defense in the aerospace industry.
Ted Rombach, Tiffin, is the superintendent of Calvert Catholic Schools in Tiffin.
Allen Comport, Annapolis, Md., has accepted a full-time faculty appointment in the Illustration Department of the Maryland Institute College of Art. His major area of instruction is professional development for artists.
George Freeman, Cleveland, has taken a position at Martin Luther King Jr. Career Campus, working with special-needs students in a high school outside Cleveland.

Jennifer (Hanner) Fenderbosch was elected a city councilwoman in Avon Lake, Ohio.
1976
Jim Croom, Tiffin, works as a licensed massage therapist at the Emporium in Tiffin.
Edward Palmer, New Port Richey, Fla., has retired after 27 years of dental practice.
1977
Leslie Apetz, Rochester, N.Y., has graduated from Colgate Divinity School and completed a short pastorate at a UCC church in Irondequoit.
1979
Dave Hudak, Indianapolis, has been named general manager of POET Biorefining in Alexandria, Ind. POET is the largest ethanol producer in the world. He is married to Lisa (Esley), ’82.
1980
Bill Kelly, Alpharetta, Ga., is chief operating officer for New Avenues Lease Purchase, LLC. He is married to Linda (Deissinger), ’82.
1981
Ken Hewitt, Huntsville, Ala., works for the Corps of Engineers.
1985
Eric Norenberg has been appointed city manager of Oberlin, Ohio. He previously spent 20 years with the city of Mesa, Ariz.
1990
Steven Marin, Miami, is a renowned lobbyist and political consultant in South Florida. He runs Marin and Sons, a top political campaign strategy firm.
Dr. Bill Wise, Grove City, Ohio, is superintendent of the South-Western City School District. He is married to Amy (Zug), ’91.
1991
Danielle DeMuth, Grand Rapids, Mich., is an assistant professor of women and gender studies at Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
Marine Corps Maj. Jennifer “Jenny” (Hawkes) Potter, Brunswick, Ohio, was selected as an outreach coordinator to the State of Ohio Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps’ Wounded Warrior Regiment. Her duties include: advocacy for Marines, sailors and their families within the Marine Corps and with external agencies; coordination with military physical evaluation boards; facilitation/assistance with employment; and coordination with veterans, public and private organizations providing support to seriously injured veterans.
1992
Daniel Perez, West Palm Beach, Fla., recently became a member of the SWAT team with the Davie, Fla., police department.
Andy Mason, Columbus, has accepted the position of project manager within the Healthcare Supply Chain Services at Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio. Andy has been with Cardinal Health since 2004. He also is a member of the Cardinal Health Chamber Orchestra and the Dublin Brass Quintet.
1993
Alicia Fogal, Westlake, Ohio, received the top prize in the Adult Vocal category at the 6th Annual Rising Star contest held at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square in September. Her performance of Harold Arlen’s Let’s Fall in Love received positive comments in both the semi-final and final rounds of the competition. Alicia performed in her 30th musical theater production this summer, and is a frequent guest vocalist on the Midnight Martini Show at Pickwick & Frolic, Cleveland’s premiere restaurant and cabaret.
Maureen Carlson, Kirksville, Mo., received her doctorate in musical arts from the Michigan State University College of Music and is currently teaching voice and music history at Truman State University in Kirksville.
1998
Dan Kittle and his wife, Ashley, are volunteering for the Blue Mountain Project in Hagley Gap, Jamaica. In April 2008, they plan to return to Waverly, Iowa, where Dan has been on leave from Wartburg College.
2001
Mark Kiedrowski, Layton, Utah, was one of 100 Civilian Air Force employees selected to attend the Air Force Squadron Officers School at Maxwell AFB, Ala., in September 2008. He currently is the lead configuration manager for F-16 Fighter aircraft at Hill AFB, Utah.
2003
Julie (Wagner) Babcock, Lakewood, Ohio, earned her master’s degree in education from Cleveland State University in August 2007. Her area of study was educational technology. She also added an endorsement to her teaching license, computer/technology, for grades K-12.
Duane Davis, Salem, Ind., recently completed training for the Music Together teaching program, through the Center for Music and Young Children. He is the K-2 music teacher and hand-chime choir director for Bradie Shrum Lower Elementary School in Salem.
2005
Ashley (Hammer) Schade, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., has been hired as a staff accountant at James Moore & Co. in Daytona Beach.
