Shannon is currently an Assistant Professor at North Dakota State University. She graduated from Heidelberg in 2008 with her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Biology. While at Heidelberg she was the President of the Athletic Training Student Organization, a member of the Women’s Soccer team, and a member of Kappa Psi Omega.
She went on to Ohio University where she pursued her master’s degree in Athletic Training and continued on to pursue her PhD in Research and Evaluation. While at Ohio University, Shannon had the opportunity to work with Field Hockey, Men’s Basketball, Football, and Cheerleading. Additionally, Shannon was the Athletic Trainer for the DII Club Ice Hockey Team at Ohio University. Shannon’s research interests include quantifying outcomes and the patient-clinician relationship. Her dissertation was titled, “Development of the Patient-AT Trust Instrument.”
