Professor Barbara Tucker earned her M.S. in Accounting from James Madison University; she is also a Certified Public Accountant. Courses taught include Auditing, Financial Accounting, and Intermediate Accounting I and II. Her classroom focus is on International Accounting Standards, and the ongoing convergence project between the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the International Accounting Standards Board. Professor Tucker was responsible for the development of Heidelberg’s senior capstone research course, and continues to modify the course to deal with the most pressing issues in accounting. The success of the program is demonstrated in 100% of accounting majors reporting employment or acceptance into graduate school upon graduation. She has been active in the advising programs and helped develop the current internship program for the Heidelberg School of Business.
