Matt Grieves, football senior
Playing big for the Heidelberg University men’s football team is Matt Grieves. Grieves finished his junior campaign in 2008 ranking sixth in the OAC in tackles for a loss per game (1.72) and eighth for sacks per game (.83), earning himself a spot on the All-OAC Honorable Mention Team. The junior defensive tackle also led the Fighting Students Princes with eight sacks and 16 tackles for a loss in the 2008 season. Grieves received honors, being named to the ESPN the Magazine “All-District IV Academic Second Team.” Grieves will graduate from Heidelberg University with a degree in criminal justice. In his final season, Grieves has been selected to serve as a team captain.
