2013 Heidelberg Baseball Summer Camp Brochure & Registration

About the camp:
Camp will be held at the Heidelberg baseball field at Peaceful Valley located off of Prospect Street. The camp is designed to improve the fundamentals of baseball for each participant.  

Emphasis will be placed on throwing, catching, running, sliding, pitching, infield play, outfield play and hitting. Participants will work on these fundamentals through drills, competition and repetition.  

About the director:
Matt Palm, 14th-year head coach at Heidelberg University, will conduct and supervise all camp activities. In 13 seasons, Coach Palm has led the Heidelberg baseball team to 12 OAC tournament appearances, five OAC Regular Season Championships, four OAC Tournament Championships and four NCAA Regional appearances. In 2010, Heidelberg made its first trip to the World Series and finished fourth in the nation. That season, Coach Palm was named the OAC Coach of the Year for the fifth time and was also named the Mideast Region Coach of the Year. Before coming to Heidelberg, Coach Palm was an assistant at Indiana University for one year and an assistant at Emory University for three years. He is a 1995 graduate of the College of Wooster and received his master’s degree from Georgia State University.

Ages: Boys & Girls entering grades K-8

Cost: $75.00 per camper
          All participants will receive a t-shirt and lunch will be provided.

What to bring:
Hat, glove and bat

Registration forms and payment must be mailed no later than June 6, 2013.
