Preston Tabbed as a Receiver to Watch in 2010

Tiffin, Ohio – July 1, 2010 – OhioCollegeFootball.com announced its list of top wide receivers for the 2010 season and senior Mike Preston (Maple Heights, Ohio / Euclid) of the Heidelberg University football team has landed a spot on the watch list.

OhioCollegeFootball.com released its top-12 list and its watch list today, July 1. The lists are grouped by NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, FCA and the NAIA, along with a third group comprised of NCAA Division III. The top-12 list and the watch list are comprised of four players from the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Preston is coming off his best campaign of his career in 2009. The All-OAC First Team honoree emerged into the starting line up and led the team with 869 receiving yards and 47 receptions. He finished the year with five 100-yard receiving games, which included his first of his career. The year was highlighted by a 192 yard outing against Muskingum University Nov. 14. He also stood second on the team with eight touchdowns.

Heidelberg, under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Mike Hallett, opens the year at Alma College Sept. 4. The Berg is slated to play 10 regular season games, with five to be played at Mayer Field, on the campus of Heidelberg. Its home opener is slated for Sept. 18 against Baldwin-Wallace College.
