TIFFIN, Ohio—Junior kicker Dan Kilger (Novi, Mich./Novi) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference special teams player of the week by the OAC office today for his efforts in Heidelberg University’s 41-20 win against conference foe Otterbein University in the 20th Rhine River Classic on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Kilger connected on both of his field goal attempts—from 29 yards in the second quarter and 30 yards in the fourth quarter—and converted all five of his point-after-touchdown tries. The field goals were the first two of his career.
Additionally, Kilger totaled 338 yards on seven kickoffs for a 48.3 yards-per-kick average.
