First-year head coach Anthony Gholson of the Heidelberg College men’s basketball team has announced the release of its 2008-09 schedule. The 25-game schedule features 12 contests to be played in the home of ’Berg basketball, Seiberling Gymnasium.
Heidelberg’s slate consists of 18 games in the rugged Ohio Athletic Conference, with the top-eight teams in the final regular season standings earning a spot in the OAC Tournament. The winner of the eight-team tournament earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
The season begins on Nov. 15 when Heidelberg travels to Pitt-Bradford for a 4:00 p.m. contest before opening its home slate Nov. 18 against cross-town rival Tiffin University at 7:30 p.m. A game with Defiance College Nov. 25 marks two-straight at home before heading on the road to Bluffton University Nov. 29 ...
