@College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships
TIFFIN, Ohio—Fans can vote on Facebook for Heidelberg University junior honorable mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference forward Nate Davis’ (Dayton/Stivers) chance to compete in a slam dunk contest at the NCAA Division I Final Four in New Orleans.
To vote, fans should “like” Davis’ highlights on Facebook @College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships (www.facebook.com/CollegeSlam). The top-16 dunkers will face-off in a bracket-style voting competition beginning Feb. 6. The winner is wholly determined by fan voting.
The winner will be determined by mid-March and will compete in the State Farm Slam Dunk & Three-Point Championships in New Orleans Final Four weekend, airing on ESPN March 29.
This season, Davis has been a human highlight real with his creative plays, most notably a tip-in dunk against Trine (Ind.) University on Dec. 17 that was featured on that day’s SportsCenter’s Top-10 Plays and has received nearly one million views on YouTube. Watch his Top-10 dunk here.
Davis also has several of his highlights posted on Heidelberg’s YouTube channel.
