Men's Basketball Hosting OAC Tournament Quarterfinal Game
The Heidelberg College men’s basketball team, under the guidance of sixth-year head coach Duane Sheldon, finished the 2007-08 regular season with an overall record of 20-5 and a 14-4 mark in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Berg stood second in the final league standings, earning a bid to the eight-team OAC Tournament. With its top-four finish, Heidelberg earned the right to host a quarterfinal game on Wednesday, February 27 in Seiberling Gymnasium, on the campus of Heidelberg.
Heidelberg, the No. 2 seed, will host No. 7 seed John Carroll University beginning at 7:30 p.m. Cost for the game is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for non-OAC students and students of OAC institutions are admitted free.
In an effort to help the Berg in its quest for the program’s first OAC Tournament title and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Wednesday’s game will see an “Orange Out” in Seiberling Gymnasium. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear their ’Berg Pride t-shirts or anything orange to the game to help “Orange Out the Competition.”
All tickets for Heidelberg’s OAC Tournament quarterfinal game will be sold at the door. No presale tickets are available. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
