Men Finish Sixth at Otterbein Invitational
The Heidelberg College men’s cross country team put out a strong effort in today’s race at the Otterbein Invitational to take a sixth place finish overall. The Invite was held at Otterbein in Westerville, Ohio. Taking a lead for the Berg was runner Devin Butcher (Bowling Green, Ohio/ Bowling Green) who placed fourth overall with a time of 25:11.7 on the course.
The strong finish by the Berg was completed also with the help of several other runners. Scott Lash (Huron, Ohio/ Huron) finished with a time of 26:10.6 placing him in 36th overall. And runner Jarrod Saling (Caldwell, Ohio/ Caldwell) also helped with a 42nd place finish at a time of 26:14.5.
The tournament would finish with Ashland University taking first and Case Western taking the runner up position. The Berg would follow Mount Union, DePauw and Kenyon.
The next run for the Berg will be the Notre Dame Invite held Oct. 3 in South Bend, Ind.
