Lewis Tabbed OAC Offensive Player of the Week

The Ohio Athletic Conference announced today that junior tailback Jemar Lewis (Bedford Heights, Ohio / Bedford) of the Heidelberg College football team has been named the OAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 27, 2008. It is Lewis’ first player of the week honor of his career.
 
In a 37-34 overtime win at Baldwin-Wallace College on Saturday Lewis led the Heidelberg offense with a career-high 151 rushing yards on a career-best 28 carries. On the day Lewis also snagged a pass for four yards. Along the way he found the end zone for two touchdowns.
 
On the year Lewis leads the Heidelberg ground game with 350 yards for an average of 50.0 yards a game. He has scored four TD’s on the year.
 
Heidelberg stands at 2-5 on the year and 1-5 in the OAC. The Berg returns to action on Saturday when it entertains Wilmington College in its 2008 home finale beginning at 1:30 p.m. The year concludes with two-straight on the road starting at Marietta College (Nov. 8) followed by a trip to New Concord, Ohio to face Muskingum College (Nov. 15).
