Miller Tabbed OAC Offensive Player of the Week
Sophomore quarterback Andrew Miller (Dalton, Ohio / Dalton) of the Heidelberg College football team has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of November 10, 2008. It is Miller’s first player of the week accolade of his career. He is the second ’Berg player to be honored on the year, joining fullback Jemar Lewis (Bedford Heights, Ohio / Bedford).
Miller was instrumental in Heidelberg’s come from behind 42-40 win at Marietta College over the weekend. Heidelberg put 19 unanswered points on the board to erase a 40-23 deficit with 6:22 left in the game. Miller completed 18-of-35 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball 10 times and picked up 81 yards.
On the year, Miller has thrown for 1,650 yards in nine games. He has connected with 15 different receivers for 118 receptions in 226 attempts, good enough for 14 touchdowns.
Heidelberg (3-6, 2-6 OAC) closes out its 2008 campaign at Muskingum College Nov. 15. Kickoff with the Muskies is slated for 1:30 p.m.
