Markley Leads Men’s Golf at OAC Spring Invite

WESTERVILLE, Ohio—Senior Zak Markley (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) fired a 253 over three rounds and tied for 16th place to lead the Heidelberg University men’s golf team at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Invitational at the par-72 and 6,622-yard Little Turtle Golf Club in Westerville, Ohio.

Heidelberg finished eighth with a total of 1,068 strokes.

In addition to Markley, senior Brian Cline (Mentor) carded a 255 to tie for 19th. Senior Corey Pierson (Troy) finished in 43rd with 274 strokes, junior Troy Keller (Tiffin/Calvert) came in 49th place with 291, and senior Ryan Treese (Delaware/Hayes) tallied 313 strokes to place 50th.

The Student Princes return to the links Monday, April 23 for the Ohio Northern University Spring Invitational at Colonial Hills Golf Course.
