ADA, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s golf team fired a round of 337 strokes today at the Ohio Athletic Conference Invitational at Colonial Hills in Ada, Ohio. The Student Princes’ 337 was good for eighth place.
Seniors Corey Pierson (Troy) and Brian Cline (Mentor) each led the way for the Berg with 80 and 86 strokes, respectively. Both tied for 28th place.
In a tie for 35th place was senior Zak Markley (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) with a score of 82. Rounding out the starting five for the Student Princes were senior Logan Weiland (Valley City/Buckeye) and local sophomore Tory Keller (Tiffin/Calvert). Weiland carded an 89, good for 55th place and Keller shot a 90 to finish in 56th.
The Student Princes next compete Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24-25, when they host the Heidelberg Invitational at Mohawk Country Club in Tiffin.
