Medina, Ohio – September 21, 2009 – Junior David Lilly (Greencastle, Ind. / Greencastle) paced the Heidelberg University men’s golf team with a fifth-place finish at the 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Invitational. The fall invite marked the fourth outing for the Berg on its 2009 fall slate. Baldwin-Wallace hosted of fall invitational at the Fox Meadows Golf and Country Club.
Lilly opened up the outing with a four-over par, 76, and stayed consistent in round two with another 76 to stand fifth with a 152.
As a team, Heidelberg finished ninth after firing a 648 (337, 311). Otterbein College won the invitational with a 618 (303, 315) followed by Mount Union College with 626 (313, 313).
Standing in a tie for 27th was Kevin Lenhart (Arlington, Ohio / Arlington) with a 162 (85, 77), while Zack Koinis (Vermilion, Ohio / Vermilion) stood in a tie for 30h after shooting a 163 (87, 76).
Rounding out the scoring for the Berg was Sam Arnold (Springfield, Ohio / Kenton Ridge) with a 171 (89, 82) and Zak Markley (Williamsville, N.Y. / Williamsville South) with a 174 (92, 82).
