Koinis Repeats as OAC Men's Golfer of the Week

For the second-straight week junior Zack Koinis (Vermilion, Ohio / Vermilion) of the Heidelberg University men’s golf team has been honored as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week. He shares the honor this week with Mount Union College’s Lucas Murray.
 
Over the weekend Koinis took home medalist honors at the 2009 Defiance College Spring Invitational at the Kettering County Club in Defiance, Ohio to help lead the Berg to the team championship in the 10-team field.
 
 Koinis fired a 69 on the par 71 course on day one to hold down the top spot and maintained his position in the standings with a 75 in round two for a combined 144. He took home top honors by four strokes. It was the second-straight medalist outing for Koinis on Heidelberg’s Spring slate.
 
For the year, Koinis is has a 75.1 stroke average, which ranks in the top-10 in the OAC.
 
Heidelberg returns to the green this weekend at the Kenyon Invitational.
