Heidelberg Starts Fall Season Strong
The Heidelberg men’s golf team, under the tutelage of first year head coach Garrett Humes, started its fall season off with a strong showing at the Auld Crafters Kisor Classic in Pataskala, Ohio. The men finished seventh in the field, which included Ohio Athletic Conference opponents Otterbein College and Capital University.
David Lilly (Greencastle, Ind. / Greencastle) topped the field for the Berg by shooting 153 (77, 76) on the par 72 course at Cumberland Trail Golf Course. Returning OAC medalist Zack Koinis (Vermilion, Ohio / Vermilion) finished the weekend with 159 (84, 75), followed by Craig Meyer (Norwalk, Ohio / St. Paul) who shot 160 (85, 75). Sam Arnold and Tony Travagliante (Homerville, Ohio / Black River) rounded out the day for Heidelberg by shooting 182 (94, 88) and 186 (97, 89) respectively.
The Student Princes return to the green on Monday, September 15, at the Manchester Invite. The event, hosted by Manchester College, will be held at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind.
