’Berg Falls to Nationally Ranked Spartans

The Heidelberg College men’s soccer team fell to the #3 Case Western Spartans 3-0.  Heidelberg falls to a record of 3-5, while Case rises to 7-0.

Freshmen Mike Harling (Rochdale, England / Holy Cross) and Gavin McCarthy (Hilliard, Ohio / Hilliard Darby) led the team with two shots. While fellow freshmen Owen Botting (Billingsburst, England / The Weald School) along with Harling each recorded a shot on goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jared Kealy (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Jerome) guarded the net for the entire contest for the Student Princes and racked up six saves on the day.

The Berg returns to action this Tuesday Sept. 25 against Defiance, with start time set at 4:00p.m.
