Post Season Honors Continue for Men's Soccer
Two of Heidelberg College’s sophomore defenders have received Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Honorable Mention awards. Kyle Anderson (Cincinnati, Ohio / Amelia) and Casey Numetko (Tucson, Ariz. / Sabino) were named to the list for their outstanding performances both on the field and in the classroom.
Anderson, a business administration major, has maintained a 3.89 grade point average while starting 18 games for the Student Princes. He took three shots on the year, two of which were on goal, as he helped Heidelberg to a 10-9 season; its 12th winning season in 14 years.
As an athletic training major, Numetko spends his off-season helping to make sure other athletes are healthy and manages a GPA of 3.64 for his efforts. Numetko played in all 19 of Heidelberg’s games this past season, starting 18 of them. He took two shots on the year and scored one goal during the Berg’s 6-0 shutout versus Siena Heights University on Sept. 18.
