Day 9: Game in Manchester area; Pro Game in Locality

By Kenny Lawrence

We played our third game of the trip at 10:30 a.m. It was against our teammate Mike Harling's (Rochdale, England / Holy Cross) club team in the wettest and coldest conditions we have ever experienced in our lives. Our team didn't play very well under the conditions in comparison to the opposition who had the advantage of growing up in this weather. We lost 3-0, but despite the loss and terrible weather we still were optimistic about the rest our day. We got free tickets to see the Bradford City Football Club take on Nott's County in Bradford. Bradford won 2-1 and the game was amazing to watch. Then we went to a club house and learned how to play "English pool".
