Tiffin, Ohio – March 23, 2010 – The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team played its second home match on the year and took on non-conference opponent Defiance College.
The Berg drops to 2-6 on the year after being defeated 6-3. Defiance improves their overall record to 2-6 on the year.
Picking up a win in singles play was sophomore Ryan Earl (Madison, Ohio / Madison) and junior Miles Yetter (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Jerome). Earl and Yetter won in straight-sets, 6-2, 6-2, at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
In doubles play, Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week Dylan Booth (Westerville, Ohio / Central) and Bradley Cerveny (North Royalton, Ohio / North Royalton) were victorious with an 8-1 win in the third spot.
The Berg is back in action Saturday, March 27, when they visit Mount Union College.
