Tiffin, Ohio – April 27, 2010 – The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team hosted an Ohio Athletic Conference match today against John Carroll University. Heidelberg would battle but would fall 9-0 to the Blue Streaks.
The Berg now drops to 5-10 overall and 3-4 in the OAC, while the Blue Streaks advance to 5-6 and 5-3 against league foes.
At the number one singles spot Bobby Lochotzki (Oak Harbor, Ohio / Oak Harbor) was able to take four games off his opponent (6-3, 6-1). Dylan Booth (Westerville, Ohio / Central) picked up three points in each of his sets (6-3, 6-3). Miles Yetter (Dubline, Ohio / Dublin Jerome) (6-4, 6-2) earned the highest points on the day of four in any of Heidelberg’s singe sets.
Booth and Cliff Goetz (Oak Harbor, Ohio / Oak Harbor) earned four points in an 8-4 loss.
The men return to action Thursday, April 29, to host Otterbein College with start time scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
