Men’s Tennis Opens Spring Slate With Loss at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio—The Heidelberg University men’s tennis team opened the spring slate of its 2011-12 season tonight, falling to Oberlin College, 6-3, in a non-conference match in Oberlin, Ohio.

In singles play, sophomore Matthew McDivitt (Cortland/Lakeview) recorded the Berg’s lone win, defeating Daniel Bloch, 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.

Oberlin swept all three matches in doubles play.

The Student Princes return to the court Saturday, Feb. 25 by hosting Adrian (Mich.) College at Lakewood Racquet Club in Lexington, Ohio.
