Men's Tennis Falters at Capital

The Heidelberg College men’s tennis team fell 6-3 at Ohio Athletic Conference foe Capital University today. The setback drops Heidelberg to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in league action.

Capital jumped out to a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles action. Maxwell Norris (Toledo, Ohio / Springfield) won in straight sets 6-0, 6-3, to put Heidelberg in the scorebook after first singles.

The Crusaders went on to win at second singles before Jacob Craig (Toledo, Ohio / Sylvania) posted a 7-5, 6-2 win at third singles. Heidelberg fell in fourth and fifth singles, but Miles Yetter closed out the day for the Berg with a 6-2, 6-2 win at sixth singles.

Heidelberg takes a break from conference action tomorrow when it entertains Bluffton University in a 3:30 p.m. match up at the Heidelberg tennis courts.
