Heidelberg Falls to League Leading B-W
The Heidelberg College men’s tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Ohio Athletic Conference leading Baldwin-Wallace College today at the Heidelberg Tennis Courts in Tiffin, Ohio. The loss drops Heidelberg to 6-8 overall and 2-5 in the OAC, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 17-3 overall and 7-0 against league foes.
Maxwell Norris (Toledo, Ohio / Springfield) and Moody Al-Turk (Sandusky, Ohio / Perkins) opened the day in a hard fought battle at first doubles against Baldwin-Wallace’s No. 1 James Daly and No. 3 Jim Kucera, but fell in the end 8-5. Baldwin-Wallace blanked Heidelberg at second doubles and went on to win 8-3 at third doubles.
Baldwin-Wallace held a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles play and went on to take all six single matches in straight sets to post the win.
Heidelberg returns to action tomorrow against John Carroll University. Action begins at 3:30 p.m. in Tiffin.
