Beebe Hurdles To All-American Honors In Oshkosh

On Thursday, sophomore Cory Beebe (Medina, Ohio / Cloverleaf) of the Heidelberg College men’s track and field team overcame a steady rainfall to earn an appearance in the 400-meter hurdles national championship race at the 2007 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Two days later, mother nature continued to play havoc on the championships, but Beebe did not falter, earning All-American honors with a fifth place finish in 56.16. It was the second-straight season that Beebe earned All-American honors in the 400-meter hurdles. The fifth place finish improved on Beebe’s sixth place finish as a freshman in 2006.

The championships were hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the J.J. Keller Track at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh, Wisc. May 24-26.

Beebe has a chance to be a two-time All-American in 2007 as a member of Heidelberg’s 4x400-meter relay team. The 4x400-meter relay team is slated to run in the championship race today beginning at 4:45 p.m.
