Heidelberg Participates in Findlay Classic

The Heidelberg College indoor track and field team competed in the Findlay Classic over the weekend and, while facing Division I and II competitors, saw three of its own shine.

Judy Bataille (Felicity, Ohio / Felicity-Franklin) was the sole placer for the women. She finished second in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.78 seconds behind Lauren McCormick of the University of Dayton and fifth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.2 seconds, five tenths of a second out of third.

For the men, Mark Childs (New Albany, Ohio / Ashland) ran his way to a second place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:55.47, and Julius Higginbotham (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria) earned a third and fourth place finish in the triple jump (42'8.75") and long jump (22'6.25") respectively.

Heidelberg competes next in the Ohio Athletic Conference Relays on February 1 in Ada, Ohio.
