CJ Potter joins the staff to coach the throwing events after four successful years as a student-athlete with the Wilmington College track & field program.

A Covington, Ohio native, Potter earned four varsity letters by scoring points in both the OAC and All-Ohio track meets. Although he has experience competing in all of the collegiate throwing events, his expertise in the discus and hammer throw led him to being named Field Athlete of the Year at Wilmington. Potter was also a three year letterman in football as an offensive lineman for the Quakers, while earning All-OAC honors.

In high school, Potter attended Covington High, where he earned multiple varsity letters and all district awards in football, wrestling, and track. Additionally, he received all academic conference selections in each sport.

Potter graduated from Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and a minor in Economics. He currently resides in Tiffin, and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Heidelberg.

Personal: Active with the Heidelberg University counseling center and Multicultural center on campus.
