Joining the Heidelberg cross country and track & field coaching staff for his first year is Eric Thatcher.
A Lakeview, Ohio native, Thatcher comes with experience in the Ohio Athletic Conference after spending the previous five years at Ohio Northern University.
He participated in cross country and track & field at Ohio Northern for four years where he was a three time All-Conference honoree on the track. Thatcher was also part of six OAC championship teams and ran in the 2008 National Cross Country meet as the team finished 11th.
In high school, Thatcher attended Indian Lake, where he earned a combined 12 varsity letters in cross country, soccer, basketball, and baseball.
While attending Ohio Northern, he was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Habitat for Humanity and Yearbook and made the Dean’s List four times. Thatcher graduated from Ohio Northern University in May of 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Bachelor of Arts in sport management. He currently resides in Tiffin, Ohio with his wife, Erica.
