Kent, Ohio – February 20, 2010 – The Heidelberg University men’s and women’s track and field teams participated in the Kent State Tune-Up hosted by the Kent State University. The meet was unscored.
On the women’s side, Judy Bataille (Felicity, Ohio / Felicity-Franklin) took second in the 60 meter dash finals with a time of 7.69.
Alexis Goodman (Tiffin, Ohio / Columbian) participated in the 200 meter dash and crossed the finish line at 27.78, while Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel) finished in the 400 meter dash in 59.21.
In the 800 meter run, Jessica Jones (Wauseon, Ohio / Wauseon) finished in 2:29.52, while Macy McFarland (Huron, Ohio / Huron) timed in at 2:35.02. Bobbi Custer (Woodstock, Ohio / Triad) crossed the finish line in the 1000 meter run at 3:21.65.
For the men, Terrence Horton (Pickerington, Ohio / Pickerington) (50.25) and Seth Robertson (Burton, Ohio / Newbury) (51.09) ran in the 400 meter dash.
Mark Childs (New Albany, Ohio / New Albany) placed in the top-15 with a 13th place finish in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:57.65, while Sean Hancock (Lorain, Ohio / Clearview) finished at 2:01.20.
Also finishing in the top-15 was John Distler (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) in the 1000 meter run with a 11th place finish (2:38.70).
Representing Heidelberg in the one mile run was Jamie Kuess (Coldwater, Ohio / Coldwater) (4:30.55), Bobby Over (Wadsworth, Ohio / Wadsworth) (4:32.57), Dusty Kuess (Coldwater, Ohio / Coldwater) (4:37.58), and Jacob Hoffman (Shelby, Ohio / Shelby) 4:43.57.
Rounding out for the men in the 3000 meter run was Gareth Graver (Enon, Ohio / Greenon) (9:26.50) and Kevin Neel (Wellington, Ohio / Wellington) (9:50.02).
