At the Dr. Keeler Invitational, Bowmar took home runner-up honors at the meet with a throw of 193’00. His mark was a provisional qualifying throw as well as topped his own school record of 184’11. It was the first time that Bowmar has landed a spot on the national list. He would later provisionally qualify in the 4x400 meter relay, as well.
In the Ohio Athletic Conference championship, where the men’s team earned first-place, Bowmar was among the top-scores with an overall of 12.5 points.
