Delaware, Ohio – May 28, 2011 – The Heidelberg University men’s track and field team concluded its appearance at the 2011 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio on the All-American podium.
The group of Josh Bowmar (Maregno, Ohio / Highland), Seth Robertson (Burton, Ohio / Sunbury), Joe Yoder (West Liberty, Ohio / West Liberty Salem) and Terrence Horton (Pickerington, Ohio / Pickerington) finished in eighth place in the 4x400-meter relay to earn All-American accolades. They crossed the finish line in 3:14.64. It is the second time in the history of the program that Heidelberg has reached the podium in this event. The group joins the 2007 team.
On the outdoor track, Heidelberg has now claimed two relay All-American honors and 15 individual All-American accolades. Assisting in the total this season was Bowmar with a sixth place finish in the javelin to reach the podium, as well as Nate Davis (Dayton, Ohio / Stivers), who tied for sixth in the high jump.
